Forming part of the City of Charles Sturt, Findon is a South Australian suburb situated approximately 6.5km north-west of Adelaide City Centre. The age distribution of the suburb is skewed towards a slightly older population at present, with recent data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics listing the median age of residents as 38 years. Of the approximate 6,500 residents, children aged 0-14 comprise 15.6%, while young people aged 15-29 account for 20.4% of the population. The Commute

The suburb is largely serviced by Findon Road and conveniently connects to the Adelaide CBD via Grange Road. While travel via this route is an approximate 19-minute journey, transport via rail from the local station averages an only slightly longer 25 minutes.

The School Run

Findon and its adjacent suburbs host a variety of highly regarded public and private schools, including Nazareth Catholic College and Underdale High School. Jean Horan Flinders Park Kindergarten, along with a number of other early learning and childcare facilities, is conveniently located within the vicinity of the major school and shopping districts. Travel to The University of Adelaide is only a short 25-minute journey, while the Regency Campus of TAFE SA is a similarly close 15 minutes.

Residents have access to the smaller local stores of Findon Shopping Centre and also the larger selection of retail, business and civic facilities offered at provides at Fulham Gardens Shopping Centre and Westfield West Lakes. Rundle Mall is also less than 20 minutes and provides a more unique mix of boutique and popular chain stores, alongside a wide variety of casual and fine-dining options.
