Located 27 kilometres south of the Perth CBD, Hammond Park is a rapidly expanding suburb replete with schools and green spaces. Its close connection to the Kwinana freeway positions this suburb a convenient 35-minute drive from the Perth CBD. The suburb is also serviced by two train stations, Cockburn Central and the recently completed, Aubin Grove railway station. The latter is the largest ‘park and ride’ station in Perth, boasting 2,000 parking spaces. Via the Mandurah Line, the trip into the CBD takes approximately 50 minutes.

Throughout term-time, the City of Cockburn hosts a dynamic youth program that boasts private music lessons, boxing classes and hospitality courses. Local thrill-seekers can get their fix at ‘Adventure World’, an aquatic playground that features upwards of twenty rides and a series of wildlife encounters.

The suburb is renowned for its parks and gardens, offering a bounty of spaces to picnic, exercise and play. Of note is the Thompson’s Lake Nature Reserve, which features a scenic 5.7 km loop walking track around retained bushland. This is complemented by the local ‘Marsupial Reserve’, encompassing 200 hectares of sprawling, pristine banksia woodlands. Local families are invited to participate in the conservation projects undertaken here.
