Suburb Profile: Spring Farm NSW 2570

Within the state of New South Wales, Spring Farm is a very progressive suburb that is best known for its farmland and being the home of the Advanced Resources Recovery Facility. Although just an hour south-east from the populous city of Sydney, the suburb brings natural scenery to life and is also brimmed with new developments.

THE NEIGHBOURS
This rising suburb of Camden Council is home to around 4,307 individuals, with the median age being 30 years old. The 25 to 30-year old age group comprises 30% of the residents and 22% make up couples and families. It’s an ideal place to settle in with loved ones however, it is also balanced with 28% of the majority being independent young people.

THE COMMUTE
The main passageway is the Camden Bypass leading you straight to Sydney on the Hume Motorway. Since it is part of the Macarthur Region, it comes to no surprise that the Macarthur train station is the closest one, being a quick and easy 16-minute drive. There are multiple buses that run throughout the local area that is serviced by Busabout Sydney.

THE SCHOOL RUN
The Spring Farm Public School is conveniently situated close to the town centre, along Barley Road. The primary school has opened its doors to around 500 students since officially opening on April 2016. Secondary students don’t need to worry about travelling too far for high schools. Elizabeth Macarthur high school and Elderslie high school are just a short 6-minute drive away. University students also won’t need to be concerned about moving far away from home with the Western Sydney University Campbelltown Campus being an easy 15-minute journey by car.

RETAIL THERAPY
For residents, the Spring Farm shopping centre just opened in 2016 and has become the one-stop shop for popular retail stores. The area also features a Woolworths supermarket right next door and bus stop’s close by for easy transport. The neighbouring suburbs also provide some options with the Narellan Town Centre and the Crossroads Homemaker Centre both on Camden Valley Way.

WHAT’S GOING ON
Spring Farm supplies its residents an escape from busy cities to open spaces. The suburb is acknowledged as a place to experience nature first-hand with several parks and reserves available for outdoor activities. The Springs Lake, Starke Street Park, Burrell Road Dog Park and Riverside Park deliver a breath of fresh air and are ideal areas to set up picnics and barbeques.  Adding to the scenic environment, the view of the Nepean River and along with the renowned Australian Botanic Garden, attract tourists and local towns to pay a visit.
