The age distribution of the suburb is skewed towards a slightly older population at present, with recent data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics listing the median age of residents as 37 years. Of the approximate 10,000 residents, children aged 0-14 comprise 18.8%, while young people aged 15-29 account for 19.4% of the population.
