The Neighbours
The age distribution of the suburb is only slightly above the national average, with recent data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics listing the median age of residents as 32 years. Of the approximate 10,500 residents, children aged 0-14 comprise 24.9%, while young people aged 15-29 account for 21.7% of the population. Given the ongoing development of several apartment complexes and housing estates, it is anticipated that young families and professionals chasing larger, yet more affordable homes will continue to flock to the area.
The Commute
The suburb is largely serviced by Cowpasture Road and Fifteenth Avenue, both of which connect the area to the Sydney CBD via the Westlink Motorway. While travel via this route is an approximately 50-minute journey, transport via rail from the nearby stations of Leppington and Edmonson Park averages an only slightly longer 75 minutes on the Inner West and Leppington line.
