The Burbank Group of Companies isn’t your average family business. Starting out as a small home building company in Melbourne’s western suburbs, the Burbank group has evolved into a thriving, multi-faceted business that is revolutionising home building and achieving excellence across a diverse range of industries.

Over 30 years ago Eddie Sanfilippo, a young Altona man with a successful background in banking and finance, opened a self-storage facility in the suburb he called home. That same year, Eddie’s stepbrother Eddie Puhar joined him in building several investment properties, which soon grew into display home after display home. Today, Burbank Homes is one of Australia’s top builders – but it’s only one part of the Burbank Group of Companies.

With the success of Burbank Homes, the two brothers began to identify gaps in the housing supply chain and the opportunities for improvement and expansion became clear. They saw the potential to raise the benchmark for quality even higher and, before long, had spearheaded the creation of licensed plumbing and electrical businesses, a land development company and a resorts arm, all of which remain important businesses within the Burbank Group today.

It was around this time, in the mid 2000’s, that Eddie’s son Jarrod Sanfilippo came on board as Managing Director. Together, Eddie and Jarrod have developed the Burbank Group to include numerous companies and divisions, each founded on the values of communication, accountability, integrity, respect and service. Such integration across this diverse range of industries means Burbank can provide second to none service and outstanding quality at a competitive price.
