50 years ago I started out with the vision of designing and building ‘affordable’ and comfortable homes for the families of New South Wales after I realised that there was a real need for good quality, well-priced homes that could meet the needs of first home buyers and young families alike. Since those days, I have built more than 55,000 new homes of various sizes and styles for families across the state.
Recent research has confirmed that once again there is a real lack of ‘affordable’ design options available for first homes buyers, investors and retirees in New South Wales. In fact, I believe that the need to move ‘back to basics’ is even more important now given that New South Wales and Sydney in particular, are experiencing the most significant housing shortage in many decades which puts pressure on the housing market causing home prices to escalate and this, unfortunately, pushes many first home buyers, investors and retirees out of the market altogether.
My vision is to reintroduce ‘affordable’ yet contemporary designs to the marketplace through my new Division of Masterton Homes - “New Living Homes”.
Masterton Homes have always been the industry leaders and ‘innovators’ in home design and it all started with the early exhibition homes that I built almost 50 years ago in Moorebank. In those days a New Homebuyer could purchase a 107sqm, three bedrooms, single garage home for as little at $10,000!
