A survey conducted by the Demand Institute shows that baby boomers are actually interested in the idea of upsizing.

When members of the family are settled in different cities, the parents’ big house often becomes the meeting place, especially during holiday season. Upsizing is a good way to accommodate for this, especially if the house is feeling particularly small once the kids return from university.
