Orchard Property Group has delivered a major milestone with the sell-out and completion of its $155 million Pebble Creek community, with all 646 lots now sold, reaffirming its position as one of the region’s leading residential developers. The rapid-up take of residential lots was driven largely by first-home buyers capitalising on the attainable price point, with lots starting from $140,000. Orchard Property Group CEO Ted Cronin said the milestone marked a rewarding conclusion to years of careful planning and delivery. “We first launched Pebble Creek in 2018, and to see it now fully completed and sold out is a remarkable achievement for our team, and a testament to the work and vision that went into bringing this community to life,’ said Mr Cronin. Located in South Maclean, Pebble Creek features five distinct lot types ranging from 315 sqm to over 1000 sqm, catering to a diverse mix of buyers including first-home buyers, investors and established families. “While we’ve welcomed a broad range of buyers, Pebble Creek has particularly resonated with first-home buyers, giving them an affordable opportunity to enter the market as prices continue to rise,” said Mr Cronin. “Affordability has certainly been a key driver, but Pebble Creek is also a maturing community allowing buyers to see and experience the quality of our developments and the strong sense of community we create.” Recent data from RPM has revealed land supply across the region has plunged to a decade low, with developers navigating infrastructure and planning challenges amid growing population pressures and accelerating demand In this environment, Orchard remains focused on delivering well-planned residential communities at accessible price points. “Now more than ever, it’s critical we deliver communities that are not only affordable, but also well-connected, thoughtfully designed, and ready to meet the needs of a growing population, and that’s exactly what Pebble Creek represents.” At the heart of the Pebble Creek is the $3.3 million Pebble Creek Parklands, a 9.4-hectare green space offering extensive amenities to support a balanced, family-friendly lifestyle. Designed for families, the park includes play areas, dining spaces, adventure bike tracks, multipurpose courts, fitness areas, dog off-leash zones, walking tracks, and a large community event space. Adding to its appeal, the park showcases exceptional connectivity and play opportunities for families with urban designed equipment including a 10-metre-tall play tower and 33-metre-long flying fox. The Parklands, were recognised with two prestigious awards at 2024 Australian Institute of Landscape Architects Awards, securing the 2024 AILA Qld Landscape Architecture Award for parks and open space as well as the 2024 AILA Qld ShadeSmart award, recognising the park as a model for neighbourhood green space. “These two awards are a testament to what we have created at Pebble Creek,” said Mr Cronin. “To be recognised for our commitment to nature, space and community connection is incredibly meaningful and shows we’re on the right path,” said Mr Cronin. “We look forward to building on this success as we deliver our next residential communities, helping to unlock more land supply and ease housing pressure.”
