Strong demand continues at Cedar Woods’ Mason Quarter as new Wollert land release hits the market

Strong sales activity at Cedar Woods’ Mason Quarter is continuing as the developer brings a new release of land to market within the growing Wollert community.

The latest release will add new residential lots to the 64-hectare masterplanned estate, which is set to deliver around 800 homes across Melbourne’s northern growth corridor.

It comes as Mason Quarter moves further beyond its early development phase, with residents now living in completed homes across previous stages, while home building, landscaping and civil works are progressing across several others.

About Mason Quarter

Mason Quarter has been shaped around the established River Red Gums across the site, with the majority of the existing trees being retained and incorporated into more than 30 smaller tree reserves. A 7.9-hectare conservation reserve forms another significant part of the open space network.

The landscape-led approach has been part of Mason Quarter since its early planning, with Cedar Woods retaining the majority of the established River Red Gums across the site and incorporating them into pocket parks throughout the community.

Beyond the estate, the broader Wollert area provides access to a mix of established and planned amenity as Melbourne's northern growth corridor expands.

Mason Quarter sits about 400 metres from the proposed Wollert town centre, while Aurora Village Shopping Centre is around three kilometres away. Larger retail and entertainment destinations include Pacific Epping, Craigieburn Central and Westfield Plenty Valley.

Education infrastructure is also becoming a more established part of the community.

Umarkoo Primary School on Ellesmere Boulevard opened for Term 1 in 2026 and has capacity for up to 525 students. An adjoining early learning and childcare facility has capacity for up to 130 children each day, while a future Aspire childcare centre is planned to provide another 122 places. The future Hume Anglican Grammar Wollert Campus is also planned adjacent to the community.

Mason Quarter’s location at 100 Craigieburn Road also places much of Wollert’s planned future infrastructure around the estate. The estate is within reach of the Hume Freeway and Metropolitan Ring Road, while Epping, Craigieburn and Roxburgh Park provide existing rail connections. A future Wollert railway station is proposed as part of the area's longer-term infrastructure planning.

Builders in Melbourne's north

A number of builders maintain a presence across Melbourne's northern growth corridor and the wider Victorian market. All five builders below have house and land packages available at Mason Quarter.

Mayde Homes

Mayde positions itself as a builder focused on first-home buyers, describing its approach as simplifying the building journey for those entering the property market.

The builder's offering centres on a streamlined process, with colour and design appointments run through its dedicated Elle Design Studio and a standard inclusions package that covers stone benchtops, flooring and facades.

Mayde operates across Victoria and Queensland, with house and land packages listed in a number of Melbourne growth corridor locations, including Wollert.

SOHO Living

Founded in 2016 under Mirrastone, SOHO Living has grown into Victoria's leading semi-detached and townhome builder, known for architecturally designed dwellings and fast construction timelines of around four to six months.

The builder purchases, develops and builds its own projects, giving it greater control over design and delivery.

SOHO Living has a confirmed townhome presence within Mason Quarter itself, alongside developments across other Melbourne and Geelong growth corridor communities such as Highlands and Cloverton.

Glenvill Homes

Glenvill is a custom home builder with a focus on architecturally-inspired and dual-occupancy designs, operating across Melbourne and Geelong.

The builder's home designs span classic, traditional and contemporary styles, individually adapted to suit each client's block and requirements.

Glenvill has been recognised as a consistent HIA Professional Major Builder finalist, with a project history extending back several decades.

Orbit Homes

Established in 1979 by two carpenters, Orbit Homes remains a family-owned builder offering new homes, house and land packages and knockdown-rebuild services across Victoria.

The builder is positioned around a straightforward, fixed-price building process, with a broad range of single and double-storey designs catering to different lot sizes and family needs.

Eight Homes

Founded in 2012 by director Steve Maher, Eight Homes was established to offer an efficient and more affordable alternative within the volume building market.

The builder's range spans single and double-storey designs suited to smaller lot widths, from 8.5 metres upward, with a focus on transparent, fixed-price contracts.

Eight Homes operates across Victoria, offering house and land packages to buyers in growth corridor locations.

Bottom line

The combination of existing and planned infrastructure reflects Wollert's ongoing transition from its rural past into one of Melbourne's northern growth areas. The suburb sits about 25 kilometres north of the CBD within the City of Whittlesea, with its development increasingly supported by new schools, retail, transport and community infrastructure.

That growth is occurring against a broader backdrop of continued population expansion across Melbourne. At Mason Quarter, that longer-term growth story is increasingly being matched by completed infrastructure and occupied homes.

The latest land release continues that next phase of the estate, with lots currently available from $359,000 and the overall Mason Quarter project carrying an estimated completion date of November 2029.
