Travel & Infrastructure

Anketell doesn't have its own train station, but sits within a short drive of both Kwinana railway station (around 6 minutes away) and Aubin Grove railway station (around 8 minutes away), giving residents rail access into Perth and Fremantle in around 40 minutes by car or quicker by train. The Kwinana Freeway is directly accessible via Anketell Road, making the suburb a genuinely well-connected pocket for a growth area.

Anketell doesn't yet have its own shopping centre, though the Wandi District Shopping Centre has been planned directly opposite several of the suburb's newer estates on Anketell Road. In the meantime, residents rely on the Kwinana Hub Shopping Centre (around 9 minutes away), an IGA at nearby Hammond Park, and the larger Gateway Shopping Centre at Cockburn Central (around 13 minutes away).

Schools & Recreation

There are currently no schools within Anketell itself, though Anketell North Primary School is planned close to the suburb's newer estates. In the meantime, families rely on nearby options including Wandi Primary School, Aubin Grove Primary School, Hammond Park Primary School and Hammond Park Catholic College, all a short drive away, with Emmanuel Secondary College and Murdoch University further afield for secondary and tertiary study.

Local Amenities

Anketell backs onto Marri Park Golf Course, and The Spectacles nature reserve sits just a few minutes away, giving residents a genuine slice of bushland close to home.
