There is currently no secondary school in Eglinton itself; a local high school and further primary schools are planned as part of the Allara estate's build-out, but none had begun construction as of early 2026. In the meantime, secondary students typically travel to schools in Butler or Clarkson, and Edith Cowan University's Joondalup campus and North Metropolitan TAFE are about a 20-minute drive away.

Eglinton's biggest drawcard is its coastline, with several beaches within a 10-minute drive and the wreck of the Alkimos visible offshore.
