Meet Ampére: Aura's new neighbourhood designed for more sustainable living
What if your home could generate, store and intelligently manage its own energy? That's the thinking behind Ampére, Aura's new all-electric village and Stockland's first neighbourhood in Australia where homes are designed to achieve net-zero energy.
Located in Banya along the Aura Brook, each Ampére town home includes a solar and battery system designed to generate up to 120% of a typical household's energy needs across the year. This could help residents save up to $2,000 a year on electricity costs and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to four tonnes, depending on how energy is used in the home.
Homes also feature smart home energy management systems, smart electrical meters, digital water meters and EV-ready garages. As all-electric homes, renewable energy can be used to power everyday essentials including cooking, hot water, heating and cooling.
An 8-star energy rating, smart orientation and efficient all-electric systems are also designed to help homes stay cooler in summer and warmer in winter while using less energy every day.
Stockland Senior Development Manager Genaea Keith said Ampére's smart, future-ready design helps homeowners cut through the complexity and live more sustainably from the day they move in.
“At Ampére, sustainability isn’t something residents need to navigate later. Homes are designed from the ground up to be all-electric, with solar, battery storage and smart technology working together to help lower energy costs and make everyday living simpler,” Genaea says.
“The vision is to create an integrated energy ecosystem that helps residents generate, store and intelligently manage energy.”
The result is a neighbourhood designed to support a more sustainable way of living, while helping households manage energy use and costs.
Ampére also offers direct access to Nirimba State Primary School and Joy Early Learning childcare centre, and easy access to proposed walking trails, parkland and open space planned along the Aura Brook corridor. The neighbourhood is less than 2km from the future Aura Town Centre and Aura Parklands, both currently under construction.
Builder partners Thompson Sustainable Homes and NuTrend Homes will deliver the first release, with residents anticipated to move in from early 2027^.
