Pask's Arise takes shape across Rochedale's highest land as suburb enters next growth phase

More than two decades of land assembly has helped shape one of Rochedale's largest residential communities, with Pask's Arise masterplan spanning more than 1,500 freehold homesites across the suburb's highest land.

Pask founder Nev Pask gradually acquired the elevated Rochedale holdings over more than 20 years before bringing them together as Arise, a series of walkable neighbourhoods planned around parks, open space and a central hub.

Arise at Rochedale is now established, with more than 800 residents calling the community home. Wide tree-lined streets, walking and cycling connections, subtropical landscaping and parkland are integrated throughout the masterplan. Its position on Rochedale's highest land is another defining feature, providing outlooks toward the Brisbane CBD skyline and surrounding areas.

The Pinnacle forms the elevated precinct within Arise, occupying the highest land in Rochedale and offering a range of homesites connected by tree-lined boulevards, bike paths and pedestrian routes. Green spaces are incorporated throughout the neighbourhood, including a larger park with picnic facilities and a nature-inspired playground.

Arise's location places the community around 15 kilometres from Brisbane's CBD, with access to the city's motorway and arterial road network as well as public transport. Major retail centres at Mt Gravatt and Carindale are within the surrounding area, while nearby education includes Redeemer Lutheran College and access to Griffith University's Nathan and Mt Gravatt campuses.

The masterplan itself provides a range of lot types, from smaller courtyard homesites through to larger blocks, alongside house and land options delivered in partnership with Queensland builders.

All homesites are freehold title, distinguishing Arise from projects where shared community facilities can introduce body corporate arrangements.

Plantation Homes

Plantation Homes operates under the Henley Properties Group, founded in 1989 by Peter Hayes, Rob Bowen and John Harvey, and is backed by the Sumitomo Forestry Group.

Founded in 2009 by Chris, Aleksandra and Mario, Homes by CMA is a family-owned builder based in North Lakes that has delivered more than 2,000 homes across South East Queensland, including Brisbane, the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast.

The builder positions itself around making higher-end finishes more accessible, supported by an in-house design studio and a team of more than 45 staff working alongside over 160 trusted subcontractors.

Amali Homes

Amali Homes is a boutique, builder-led custom home company serving the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Toowoomba and South East Queensland.

The business is run personally by licensed builder Ivan McRobb, who brings more than 30 years of hands-on building experience and deliberately limits the number of homes built each year to remain closely involved in every project, working through a seven-step client journey from initial design through to handover.

Bottom line

Arise has grown alongside Rochedale itself, where detached homes remain the dominant form of housing and the suburb has developed into an increasingly established residential address in Brisbane's south.

That growth is being supported by further investment in local infrastructure. In 2025, the Queensland Government committed $61.6 million from its Residential Activation Fund to two projects in Rochedale, including the Gardner Road Extension and stormwater infrastructure around Rochedale and Ford roads.

The investment is intended to support the suburb's continued residential growth, building on the amenities, transport connections and established neighbourhoods already in place.
