THE NEIGHBOURSThe 2016 census revealed the town was home to 33 thousand residents with a median age across the board being 34. Families make up 27% of the suburb's population, with children ages 0-14 comprising 21% overall.

THE COMMUTEA range of buses links the area to the Perth CBD, Murdoch University and to Cannington. Many bus services connect with trains at Murdoch, Maddington or Thornlie stations for further travel. With over 33,000 residents in a 25.5sqkm area, Canning Vale is one of Perth’s largest and most populated suburbs and is on the cusp of some dynamic changes set to take place in 2019 including the 17.5km Thornlie-Cockburn Link Metronet project, which will see two local railway stations built at Nicholson Road and Ranford Road.THE SCHOOL RUNThe suburb is host to a diverse range of schools, ranging from primary to secondary education including the likes of Canning Vale Primary and St Emilie's Catholic school. Taking State Route 13, Curtin University is an easy 18-minute commute. The travel is even less for those studying at TAFE with the morning trip just a fast 13 minutes by car or 35 minutes by bus.
