In Queensland, the suburb of Helensvale is located around 65 km south-east from Brisbane and is also at a prime situation just 20 kilometres north-west from both the iconic Surfers Paradise and sunny Gold Coast. Its name was derived in the 1870s from a local sugar plantation owner who named the place after his sister, Helena. It is best known for its waterfront views and as one of the first suburbs in the 1980s to be established along the hinterland fringe of the Gold Coast.
