The hidden oasis for over-50s buyers in Melbourne’s west

A growing land lease community in Digger’s Rest is making a unique offer to over-50s buyers looking to start their next chapter in a new home, access to the already standing $13m luxury Clubhouse shared between fellow founding members of the newly launched community.
Vantage Bloomdale by AVID Property Group’s (AVID) commitment to deliver community amenities in the first stages of the project has allowed the founding neighbours to enjoy exclusive access to luxury facilities from when they first move in, bypassing the wait time to access amenities that can be standard for new developments.

Vantage Bloomdale residents Jill and Keith Miller said that while the design of their home was perfect for their needs, it was the immediate access to completed community amenities that made them sure Vantage was the right move for them.
“Our daughter lives in Melbourne, and she was walking her dogs past Vantage one day and called me to say, ‘Mum, this looks like a great spot for you’, so we came down from Canberra where we were living to visit and just fell in love with the design,” Ms Miller said.

“What really swayed us though was the Clubhouse, being able to see the beautiful facilities already finished while the community is still being built felt like such a privilege.
“We’ve been able to meet all our lovely neighbours, and we’re all excited for our community to grow together.
“What’s great about the Clubhouse is how we get the best of both worlds, my husband and I walk up together then go our separate ways so he can enjoy playing lawn bowls and I can go have a spa!”

With increased social interactions among older adults found to be key in preventing feelings of loneliness, Vantage Bloomdale residents have been able to reap the rewards of the Clubhouse’s role as a hub for community connection to help form new friendships between the over-50s cohort.
AVID General Manager Victoria Penny Forrest said that the Clubhouse amenities, alongside Melton’s ranking as the country’s fastest growing municipality, have been the two major drivers for buyers choosing to downsize to the thriving area located just 30-minutes outside of Melbourne’s CBD.
“At Vantage Bloomdale we have been able to create a space for our growing resident population that is purpose built to meet their evolving needs as they move into their next chapter, and the Clubhouse plays such a central role in this,” Ms Forrest said.

“Often times people moving in at Vantage Bloomdale have come from family homes they spent years living in that hold a lot of special memories for them, so it can be tough to imagine yourself feeling at home in a new community.
“We have worked to make this transition as easy as possible for all of our residents by delivering the Clubhouse in the first stages of project development, so to ensure our community have a space to gather together and establish a sense of place and belonging.”
Following the completion of construction on Stage 1 of the community, including the community amenities, Stage 2 is coming soon, and will bring more over 50s buyers home to the region.
