Located 25 km from Central Brisbane, Springfield Lakes is a residential suburb in the South-Western outskirts of Ipswich City. The suburb is situated on a former eucalyptus foundation on a hilly landscape. With beautiful, water views and surrounding bushland, Springfield Lakes is perfect for people who enjoy the outdoors.

The commute

In 2013, the Springfield Central Station was opened, next to Orion Shopping Centre. It reduced the travel time to Brisbane to just forty minutes, making it very convenient for people travelling to the city for work. The suburb is also serviced by bus route 522, which links Goodna Station with Springfield Central Station. Driving to Brisbane CBD takes around forty-five minutes through the Centenary Highway.

The school run

Springfield Lakes is a great suburb for families with children as it provides a good selection of primary, secondary and tertiary education facilities. It is home to the University of Southern Queensland – providing on-campus and distance education programs for a broad range of courses. There are also many early education centre options for you to give your child the best learning experience.

Shopping for the family

Orion Springfield Centre is the heart and soul of the community where friends and family can connect. It provides residents with options for groceries, cafe’s, restaurants, fashion and health and has over 80 retailers at the centre. Residents are also close to Spring Lake Village and Springfield Fare.

Mater Health Service and Mater Private Hospital provides the community with a number of doctors, dentists, specialists and health professionals.

Springfield Lakes is perfectly designed for outdoor living. With over 20 km of walking and bike trails, 23 hectares of beautiful lakes and creeks that are perfect for canoeing and kayaking, there is always something to do. Greater Springfield City organises many community events, children and family activities and many competitions too. On the 1st Friday of every month, the Springfield Market is set up in the famous Robelle Domain Parklands offering live entertainment, arts and crafts for children, and plenty of delicious food stalls that will make you want to come back!
