Demographics

This suburb is home to 8,998 residents whose median age is 31. The coastal suburb’s blend of modernity and serenity has made it a hub for young families, with over 2,300 families living in Dalyellup and children aged between 0-14 accounting for 27.6% of the population. Most residents are homeowners and both parents are typically in the workforce.

Transportation

This suburb is located just off Bussell Highway, making for easy commutes to both Perth and the South West. The area is served by TransBunbury. The 842 and 843 buses operate between Bunbury Bus Station and Norton Prom/Hutt Drive in Dalyellup with journey times of approximately 35 minutes. TransWA trains and South West Coach lines also service Bunbury for those travelling to or from Perth.

Shopping For The Family

Located in the heart of town is Dalyellup Shopping Centre. This small complex has the weekly shopping essentials covered with a Woolworths, Bakers Delight and also a pharmacy. Residents also have access to F45, beauty salons and restaurants at this local staple. Need more options? Located just over 10kms out of Dalyellup are Bunbury Forum and Bunbury Centrepoint, which both offer a variety of fashion, food, banking and travel retailers and often host community activities. Bunbury is also home to a number of locally-owned boutiques selling everything from antiques to pottery and plants, as well as a Farmer’s Market where visitors can sample the best local produce.

The School Run

Parents are spoilt for choice when it comes to picking a good school in this suburb. Located in town are Dalyellup Primary and the recently refurbished Dalyellup College and Tuart Forest Primary School. Bunbury Baptist School and Bunbury Cathedral Grammar School are also nearby and offer classes from kindergarten to Year 12. For the young ones, Kids Inn Childcare and Pink & Grey Family Day Care are great preschools located near Dalyellup Primary. For the older kids, Edith Cowan University’s South West Campus is only 6km away from the suburb. South West Regional TAFE and The University of WA’s Rural Clinic School are also located nearby.
