The nearby train stations of Roxburgh Park and Upfield provide Greenvale residents access to several different railway lines and also a number of bus routes.

Residents have access to the smaller and more local shops of Greenvale Shopping Centre and also the larger selection of retail, business and civic facilities offered at Westfield Airport West. Given the suburb’s relative proximity to the city, a more unique mix of boutique and popular chain stores are similarly close at hand, with a wide variety of casual and fine-dining options available from there.

As a quieter town with a strong focus on community, Greenvale is well-known for its emphasis on local sports, including Australian Rules and soccer.
