Suburb Property Profile: Wollert VIC 3750

Wollert is a suburb sitting 26 km north of Melbourne, Victoria. The name Wollert comes from the Aboriginal word meaning “where possums abound” and the local government area for this suburb is the City of Whittlesea. Until the early 1850’s, the main activity in Wollert was sheep raising. The walls and the number of late 19th century homesteads stand as a reminder of the suburb’s history and past.
