Officer is a quiet and scenic suburb based in Melbourne’s South East. It is located within the Shire of Cardinia local government area. Officer was an area primarily known for agriculture, however, over the years, it has become an affordable and family oriented area. The area is selling very quickly as more and more young couples and families choose to call this area their home. The estates in the area are beautiful, with parks and walking tracks alongside.

The Officer Train Station gives commuters access to 100 parking spaces and many bus stops. It takes an hour to get to Melbourne CBD via public transport and forty-five minutes by car owing to quick access to the freeways.

Officer has a diverse range of primary and secondary schools, child care centres, tertiary education institutions, and universities in close by areas. Ranked in the top 3% of world universities, Deakin University’s Burwood campus is just a twenty-minute drive from Officer.

What’s going on?
There are also various recreational facilities available for the locals. Officer is home to the Australian Rules ROC Football Club. It has two AFL grounds, which also support cricket. There are many recreational parks and playgrounds for children. GWS Anderson Scout Park is a campsite which is 2km away from Officer Station. It has a large lake which is safe for swimming, water activities and for canoeing.
