Growth Areas to Look at: Box Hill (NSW)

It is becoming increasingly common for families, as well as first home buyers to look towards outer suburbs when seeking to settle down. Seeing the transformation of outer rural districts like Box Hill into booming family-friendly locations. Located 42 km north – west of Sydney, this might be your chance to secure the perfect family home.

Affordability and Growth

Affordability is one of the great reasons people choose to scout further out when buying. In 2017 the median house price for Box Hill was between $700,000 – $800,000. With just under 10,000 homes to be built in the coming years for a town that has schools and transport systems coming into place, home values are expected to rise.

Education

Knowing that you have access to education within is essential for those with new or more established families. Box Hill has a range of public primary and secondary schools on offer – as well as the newly opened Santa Sofia Catholic College.

Healthcare

The Hills Community Health Centre offers a range of services for you and your family. There services are for all ages and range from conduct partnerships with schools, GPs and hospitals in the area. Services included are for those who live in the Hills Local Government area. Medical Centres include Rouse Hill Family Medical Practice, The Hills Clinic Hospital and the Northwest Health Medical Centre which is under 10 minutes drive from the Box Hill centre.

Community and Recreation

Box Hill is apart of the Hill Shire which offers over 300 parks and reserves across it. This also includes access to bike trails, skate parks, swim and aquatic centres and access to outdoor fitness groups in the Hill Shire area. Plenty of activity and community, with new road upgrades and green spaces to continue to make Box Hill a family oriented and welcoming place to live.

Transport

Getting where you need to go with ease is essential. Box Hill has multiple bus services on offer that travel through to the Rouse Hill town centre. A train station is to be developed within Box Hill in coming years but you will currently have access to Riverstone station which is a short 7 minute drive from the centre of Box Hill, with plenty of parking for your convenience. Box Hill is a 50 minute drive from Sydney, and just under an hour and a half train journey.

Maybe your looking to move somewhere with an existing rail line to Sydney CBD, consider Campbelltown?
