The area of Lyndhurst is a flourishing suburb that can be found 35 kilometres south-east from Melbourne’s Central Business District. It has made a name for itself in recent years with a number of well-known establishments and estates, such as Marriot Waters, being built around the vicinity. Lyndhurst is continuously progressing as one of the new towns within the City of Casey and is the perfect location to welcome new homeowners and families to a friendly neighbourhood.

The Neighbours
The community has reached about 6 725 residents with the numbers expected to increase with homes continuously being constructed. It has attracted around 1 819 families and 2 049 private dwellings that are expected to multiply in the following months with 83 per cent being homeowners. The Australian Bureau of Statistics has calculated the median age to be 32 years old with children under the age of 18 is estimated to make up around 33 per cent of the total population.

The School Run
Students are well taken care of with Lyndhurst Primary School being an easy 3-minute drive and Lyndhurst Secondary College just a quick 8 to 10-minute drive away from the town centre. The school rush can be avoided with most individuals preferring to walk as it is a 10 to 20-minute walking distance from home. The nearby suburbs also provide a range of options with St. Francis de Sales Primary School at Lynbrook and Casey Grammar School at Cranbourne East. The Learn Smart Early Learning Centre on Aylmer Road and the Lyndhurst Family Daycare are popular choices for the younger ones.

The Commute
The Merinda Park train station is a manageable 10-minute drive for commuters while the Lynbrook train station is a 5-minute drive. On the Cranbourne line, it is a 50-minute to an hour journey to the city or a 45 to a 50-minute car ride. There are a handful of bus stops along Marriot Boulevard that are able to ferry passengers to the closest stores and train stations. The suburb is mainly surrounded by Thompsons Road and the South Gippsland Highway.

Retail Therapy
The area is a shopper’s dream as it is centred around multiple shops, petrol stations and services that are within a short driving distance. The Marriott Waters Shopping Centre houses signature restaurants and local cafes. Within the same place, Aldi and Woolworths supermarkets can be found along with other specialty stores. The suburb is also perfectly situated between Casey Central, Springhill and Cranbourne Park Shopping Centre. All your hardware needs are also sorted with Cranbourne Home Shopping Centre providing household names such as Bunnings, Spotlight and Autobarn.

Lyndhurst hosts multiple recreational services that invite an engaging and prosperous living environment. Surrounded by parks and lakes, the Marriott Waters Reserve is the ideal destination whether it’s going for a run, having a bike ride, enjoying the playground at Livvi’s Place or watching a game at the footy oval. The Marriott Waters Clubhouse provides an indoor pool, gym and weekly exercise sessions. The Marriott Waters Family and Children centre also holds multiple programs and meetings.
