The suburb of Fraser Rise is a growing community that is situated around 35km north-west of Melbourne’s Central Business District. The prosperous location brings open spaces and upcoming property opportunities for people moving in. Originally a part of the Plumpton suburb, the town was officially given its title by the Office of Geographic Names on February 2017 keeping in line with the proposal of new suburbs to be built around the local area. It is known as one of the popular Western suburbs on the rise where potential residents can begin their future investments.

Location Demographics

Although it has just recently been established, the place currently brings about 7,480 individuals to the City of Melton, with a steady increasing rate. Beginning with 4,000 people in 2016, the total population is estimated to reach around 42,730 in the year 2051, according to Forecast.Id. There are 1,405 dwellings set up with the average household size accommodating for 3 people. The Springside Kindergarten, St George Preca Primary School, Southern Cross Grammar and the Springside P-9 College are all under a quick 5-minute drive from home or an 18-minute walk. Students are encouraged to broaden their learnings with Trill Music Studio, the Ivories School of Piano, the Victoria Institute of Piano and the Paul Sadler Swimming for lessons. There are also more schools offered within the vicinity such as Gilson College, Lakeview Senior College, Creekside College, Parkwood Green Primary School and Taylors Hill Primary School.

Travel & Infrastructure

Commuters who catch the train have the option to choose between the Watergardens, Keilor Plains or Caroline Springs Station with all being a 10 to 15-minute drive from the town centre along with available bus services. The journey time towards Melbourne’s city centre takes around 45 minutes following the Sunbury line or utilising Public Transport Victoria’s V-Line trains from the Caroline Springs Station. Fraser Rise is linked to the C754 and M79 highway, taking drivers roughly 50 minutes to reach the CBD.

Shopping

The Watervale Shopping Centre, Caroline Springs Square Shopping Centre and Cairnlea Town Centre bring fashion retailers, cafes, supermarkets and fast food options for locals to enjoy. Within the suburb, there are a bunch of repair shops, bakeries, a pharmacy, clothing stores and supermarkets to easily grab the daily necessities.
