The suburb is a stone’s throw away from Werribee open range zoo and the bay. The upcoming Tarneit night market is sure to be a premier event. Held on March 16th, the family-friendly event showcases talented local craft and entertainment. The event also features a moonlight cinema. The local Penrose Promenade Community Centre hosts a range of events and provides support for new mothers, a sensory garden and a kindergarten. The Julia Gillard Library in Tarneit and adjacent community learning centre is a central option for studying and recreational learning. The Aqua Pulse recreation centre even includes a waterslide.
